Still Life Artists International: Blues and Greens Abstract

Monday, April 19, 2021

Oil on board, 18" x 24" $600

This abstract painting has many layers

and lots of surprises to discover

the closer you view.

I love blues and greens

which make me think of sunny days at a playground

or the view of the ocean from a bluff.

The small pink square was

an inspired touch.

Painted 1-2/3" sides

This abstract could have any name one would want to give it.

The problem I see with naming an abstract

is that once you tell the viewer what to see,

she maybe can't find her own vision.

Please name this however you want.

It is sturdy enough with 1-3/4" sides

to sit alone on a counter or dresser or bookcase,

no easel needed. It's also a breeze to hang on a wall

with a needle-nosed thumb tack.
