When I'm not rendering aspen trees, I love to paint flowers!  This 16"x20" acrylic painting is loaded with texture and painted entirely with my palette knife.  Inspired by the smile that flowers bring when given to a loved one, I've titled this painting, "Summer Love".

Floral Still Life Painting by Jill Saur

My 48"x48" painting, "Joyful Encounter" is featured in this months magazine,"Art Galleries and Artist's of the South", by Matilda's Art Gallery in Historic Roswell, Ga. I also had an unexpected surprise when I saw it on television this weekend on HGTV's, "Green Home Giveaway". They were filming the galleries in Historic Roswell and artworks represented by those galleries.

This painting emerged out of my imagination, which is both exciting and challenging at the same time. It might be hard to see in the photo, but the entire painting was executed with a palette knife and it's loaded with texture.
