A good friend gave us a tray of French chocolates which inspired this still life painting of the beautifully packaged chocolates and coffee! What a delicious afternoon snack for me while working in my studio. "French Chocolates" is a mixed media painting done with graphite, pen, and watercolor. The painting is custom double matted with high quality white archival mat board , backed with foam core, and ready for framing. The tonal quality of the painting makes it an excellent choice for any interior! A grouping of these small mixed medA good friend gave us beautiful French chocolates. The packaging and sweetness of the gift inspired me to paint this stilllife painting of the subject which made an impressive display !!
This painting is definitely me! I like a little coffee in my sugar:) The sugar cubes were fun to paint, full of so many different colors. Using my palette knife, I was able to get the sharp edges on some of the cubes and give it a little fun texture.

I've mentioned before that I own eleven creamers. I think this is only the fourth that I've posted.
The opening of our show at Summerland Gardens went really well. Many friends came and I met many new people. Thanks to all who came. The show will be up for awhile, so I hope you can visit.
We don't really name our coffee cups, but this one is just so big and so red! I don't have any bright red creamers or tea cups, and wanted something really red. I also wanted to continue painting reflections, but, those on the object, not on the table.
