Hydrangeas LAL   is done in oils on a stretched canvas. I had the pleasure of doing this painting for the LAL in Livingston.

They were very welcoming and I joined the league.  Sam and I are meeting some very lovely people since we moved.

We miss our old friends but have visited and still love them too.

We love to meet people.

This wooden frog was found somewhere on one of our trips.  I added the other objects for a nice set up. I used a palette knife to enhance the painting. I am enjoying using the knife. Painting has tons of Textures

A friend sent me this photo to paint. She knew I would like it and I do. I love gourds.  I embellished the flowers as I thought they would look nice and bring our the gourds.  The painting is done on a  12"x 9" stretched canvas.  There are pinks, greens, purples, grays and some white in the painting.

Still Life Daily Painting, Wine Bottles

One of my favorite times of the day is late evening when I can grab that book or turn on the television to my favorite show and relax with a nice glass of wine.

I set some bottles up in the window sill to get the back lighting, and also got a nice reflection under one of the bottles.  When I started digging through my canvases, I found a 6x12" which was perfect for the composition.

The perfect kitchen decor!

Flower Painting | Floral Still Life | Daily Painting | Horizontal Point of View II by Carol Schiff, 11x14 Oil

If this painting looks familiar to you......it should! Yes, my blog header is very similar... I painted it last year in a 6x8" format and have enjoyed painting flowers every since.

$176 + 16

I liked the original painting and wanted to see if I could paint larger using this same technique.  I have to say I  was pleased with the results.

This one is 11x14, but I think it still shows the same freshness and simplicity that I was trying to obtain.  Thank you for viewing my daily painting today.

Daily Painting | Food Still Life | Avocado Painting | Standing Avocado by Carol Schiff | 8x10" Oil

Maybe it's because my husband was in the Air Force for 20 years, but, when I look at this painting, all I can think about is that this is an avocado standing "at attention"

$159.95 +  13.95

The thing I really like about this daily painting is that I was able to use my favorite color combination of yellow green and red violet.

The dark sienna and orange helps to make it sizzle.
