Cherries for a Quick Study by Pamela Blaies

oil on linen
4" x 6"

Yesterday, I only had about 30 minutes to paint. These three little cherries were the perfect subjects for a quick little study. For the two front cherries' shadows I made smooth sweeping strokes of tabletop color to "carve" out neat little edges. This made for a nice, crisp contrast to draw the eye to the focal point.

I love to share my art and inspiration. Click HERE to sign up for my email newsletter and receive a free gift of postcards.
